About Vida Korea

When a place stops being new.

Vida Korea is an independent English-language guide to renting, moving and building an everyday life in Korea.

Travel guides are good at beginnings. Vida Korea is interested in what comes after: the second lease, the familiar bus stop, the bank app that finally works, the neighborhood you judge by its Tuesday morning rather than its Saturday night.

Our editorial lens is that of a long-term expat—curious but no longer dazzled by novelty, appreciative without pretending every system is effortless, and willing to explain the small details that often decide whether life here feels difficult or deeply comfortable.

What “from the inside” means

It means we write for residents, future residents and people considering a longer life in Korea. It does not mean we invent first-person experiences. When an article depends on law, government procedure, insurance, telecom or another changing system, we verify against current official sources and link them.

Publisher

Vida Korea is independently published by Michael Bahk in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

Vida Homes

Vida Homes is the property layer of Vida Korea. It is designed to connect practical housing guides with a real listing database. Listings are not created as editorial filler; only supplied property records should be shown.
